The tremendous resources of the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) and Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) provide a wide variety of assistance to the business community and opportunities for collaboration. All major fields of study and many advanced degree programs are provided at UNR, a fully accredited state university. And TMCC offers numerous training programs and will customize programs for individual businesses.

School Days
The Washoe County School District
is among the 50 largest school districts in the nation, encompassing 79 elementary, middle, & high schools. There are also a variety of private, independent, and charter schools available.

The University of Nevada, Reno is a fully accredited, land grant institution created in 1862, and located just minutes from the bustle of downtown Reno. In 2001, U.S. News & World Report ranked UNR as one of the top national universities for the ninth consecutive year. The primary academic areas sought by the university's 12, 500 plus students include arts and sciences, business administration, education, engineering, human and community science, agriculture, mining and journalism.

There are also a variety of private and community schools. Truckee Meadows Community College boasts one of the lowest tuitions in the West, and works to develop programs specific with the Reno-Sparks job market. Career College of Northern Nevada (CCNN) is an accredited career college offering a variety of diploma and associate degree programs. Morrison University is an independent educational institution offering undergraduate and graduate degrees. Sierra Nevada College is located on the north shore of Lake Tahoe in Incline Village, and serves about 600 students in a four-year bachelor's degrees study program. In 1998, U.S. News & World Report rated SNC one of the top five western liberal arts colleges.
